****George Kramer’s Arcadis: Prophecy One is the thirty-fourth in a never-ending series called INSIDE THE EMOTION OF FICTION where the Chris Rice Cooper Blog (CRC) focuses on one specific excerpt from a fiction genre and how that fiction writer wrote that specific excerpt.  All INSIDE THE EMOTION OF FICTION links are at the end of this piece.

Name of fiction work? And were there other names you considered that you would like to share with us? The name of the fiction work is Arcadis: Prophecy book one (out of seven). There wasn't any other title I considered.

Fiction genre?  Ex science fiction, short story, fantasy novella, romance, drama, crime, plays, flash fiction, historical, comedy, movie script, screenplay, etc.  And how many pages long? The genre is fantasy. It is for ages 10-99. The first book is about 190 pages.

Has this been published? And it is totally fine if the answer is no.   If yes, what publisher and what publication date? Yes, It was published in November 2014 by myself via Amazon.

What is the date you began writing this piece of fiction and the date when you completely finished the piece of fiction? I am unsure of the exact date I started it but, I completed it in November of 2014. I estimate it took about three months from start to finish. (Below:  George in July of 2015)

Where did you do most of your writing for this fiction work?  And please describe in detail.  And can you please include a photo? I did most of the writing in my front room where I am relaxing in the photo. (Right)  There is a larger blue recliner and multi-colored couch that are perched to the right of the photograph. I actively wrote in the blue recliner. There is a large squared coffee table where I placed drinks and snacks.

What were your writing habits while writing this work- did you drink something as you wrote, listen to music, write in pen and paper, directly on laptop; specific time of day? I usually had either coffee or ice water sitting on the coffee table. Snacks included pretzels or potato chips. There were times I ate dinner out there too. My laptop is where I do all of my writing unless I am not home. I usually have a pen and paper. Additionally, I have a pen and paper on my nightstand beside my bed. I can't recall how many times I had ideas and told myself I would remember them next morning. Rarely did that ever occur.  The time of day was dependent on what my wife and daughter were doing.
What is the summary of this specific fiction work? Arcadis: Prophecy (Book One):   Several centuries ago one of the most powerful primary yellow powered sorcerer family foretold a prophecy that Arcadis would die on his thirtieth birthday. In the beginning of the sorcerer world there existed three primary color powers red, blue, and yellow.

Prior to Lord Quill's ascension to head sorcerer, his predecessor ruled no one was allowed to marry outside of their respective color. Every sorcerer was a primary color power. When Lord Quill took control, he didn't want anyone to usurp his authority. Thus he ruled no primary color power may be allowed to marry another primary color power. Hence a dilution occurred. When a blue color power sorcerer married a yellow powered sorcerer, the baby was green powered and considered a secondary power. When a red color powered sorcerer married a blue powered sorcerer, it created a purple secondary powered sorcerer and so on. Can the primaries and secondary's get along or will there be a war between the two classes? (Above Right:  George dressed as Lord Quill)

Can you give the reader just enough information for them to understand what is going on in the excerpt? The excerpt I chose is a brief description of Arcadis. I wanted to convey with the audience that no matter how powerful or inconsequential you feel, it doesn't matter. Arcadis doesn't look like Thor, Zeus, or Hercules. He is really thin. Humans and magical beings mistake his appearance as someone lacking of power. Boy, are they wrong!

Please include the excerpt and include page numbers as reference.  The excerpt can be as short or as long as you prefer.
The excerpt is from page one.
My name is Arcadis Ander Gildeon and I am in a heap of trouble. It used to be every once in a while a brazen sorcerer would come into my antique shop and ask for the all-powerful sorcerer named Arcadis. When I told them it's me, their first response was always laughter. I don't exactly fit into the all-powerful sorcerer category. I am not seven feet eight inches tall, have long blond hair, or weigh a ton and a half with muscles the size of Jupiter. I am five feet seven inches tall, with short black hair that's cropped on the sides. I weigh one-seventy soaking wet.

Why is this excerpt so emotional for you?  And can you describe your own emotional experience of writing this specific excerpt? Because people tend to be superficial and their view slanted when it comes to looks and culture. Everyone, including Arcadis, should be respected.

Were there any deletions from this excerpt that you can share with us? And can you please include a photo of your marked up rough drafts of this excerpt. There aren't any deletions. It is word for word.

George Kramer started writing early in his life. In fifth grade, he started dabbling with his pen and paper. It was instrumental since his writing would serve as a crucial outlet later in life. The venting allowed him to get a handle on his trials and tribulations in growing up with eight other siblings. George spread his wings and embraced writing in all genres. As it stands, he has over one hundred and fifty articles published online for various websites. He has written two books of unconventional poetry, countless short stories, and seven books of the popular Arcadis series.

Additionally, George has written a medical horror book called Blind to Blood and its sequel, Blind to Blood 2: The End Game. He has written a screenplay for both Blind to Blood Arcadis: Prophecy, and to some it’s just a rose. Additionally, he wrote a murder/mystery/love obsession book called, ‘To some it’s Just a Rose’. He is currently writing book three in the
Blind to Blood Series.
George was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, raised on Long Island, is one of nine children, and is a natural born triplet. Currently he resides in McCordsville, Indiana with his wife, and precocious daughter.
